What's in a name?

Capture Engineer, Digital Media Assistant, Digital
Management Tech, Digital Loader, Digi - loader,
Digital Asset Manager, RED Tech, and Data Wrangler.
These are all names that have been bestowed on the
one that backs up and checks data. Most have even
called him/her a DIT (digital imaging technician),
but that one is incorrect. Traditionally, a DIT is
not responsible for data. A DIT works with the
image directly while shooting, more typically in
the HD world and not so much in the RED world.
Whereas, a data wrangler can assist a DP to achieve
a look in preparation for editorial.
